Servings: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 226 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar for rolling

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat butter until smooth and fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  3. Whisk flour, cornstarch, and salt together. Add to the bowl and mix just until a soft dough forms.
  4. Scoop tablespoon portions and roll into smooth balls. Place 2 inches apart on trays.
  5. Bake 12–14 minutes, until set but still pale (tops should not brown).
  6. Cool 3 minutes, then roll gently in powdered sugar. Cool fully, then roll again for a thicker coating.

Notes

Keep cookies pale for the best melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Add 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts for variety.
Store airtight at room temperature up to 4–5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
