Cook Time 5 hours
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef sirloin or stew meat cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Sear the Beef:
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and sear until golden brown on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).
  3. Make the Garlic Butter:
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Combine in the Slow Cooker:
  6. Add seared beef, garlic butter, beef broth, soy sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder to your slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  7. Cook:
  8. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the beef is tender and flavorful.
  9. Serve:
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Searing the beef first helps lock in flavor.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice or herbs like rosemary for a twist.
  • Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for 2 months.
