Method
- Add chicken to the slow cooker and season.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, onion, Parmesan, basil, and olive oil.
- Cook 4–6 hours on LOW or 2½–3 hours on HIGH.
- Shred chicken and return.
- Add cream and cream cheese; melt 10–15 minutes.
- Stir, garnish with basil, and serve.
Notes
Add cream only at the end.
Thicken by removing the lid for 20 minutes.
Serve with pasta, rice, or bread.
Freezes best before adding cream.
