Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained
  • 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: ½ tsp cayenne pepper for spice

Method
 

  1. Brown the Beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef until no longer pink. Drain fat.
  2. Add to Slow Cooker: Combine cooked beef, beans, tomatoes, onion, garlic, broth, tomato sauce, and seasonings in your crockpot. Stir well.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  4. Adjust Seasoning: Before serving, taste and adjust salt or spice as needed.
  5. Serve: Ladle chili into bowls and top with cheese, sour cream, or avocado.

Notes

  • Always brown your beef first for richer flavor.
  • Add 2 oz cream cheese at the end for a creamy twist.
