Brown the Beef (Optional Step):
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle with oil, and brown the beef pieces for 2–3 minutes per side. This adds a deeper flavor but can be skipped if short on time.
Layer in the Slow Cooker:
Add beef, chopped onion, garlic, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and all seasonings to your slow cooker. Stir lightly to combine.
Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
Thicken the Broth (Optional):
If you prefer a thicker texture, whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup cold water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes.
Add Noodles:
About 25 minutes before serving, add egg noodles directly into the slow cooker. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking until they’re tender and coated in sauce.
Finish Creamy (Optional):
Stir in heavy cream and butter for an extra-smooth, velvety texture.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with bread, salad, or roasted vegetables.
