Ingredients

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat drizzle with oil, and brown the beef pieces for 2–3 minutes per side. This adds a deeper flavor but can be skipped if short on time.
  • Layer in the Slow Cooker:
  • Add beef chopped onion, garlic, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and all seasonings to your slow cooker. Stir lightly to combine.
  • Cook:
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
  • Thicken the Broth Optional:
  • If you prefer a thicker texture whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup cold water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes.
  • Add Noodles:
  • About 25 minutes before serving add egg noodles directly into the slow cooker. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking until they’re tender and coated in sauce.
  • Finish Creamy Optional:
  • Stir in heavy cream and butter for an extra-smooth velvety texture.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with bread salad, or roasted vegetables.
