  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk or almond/oat milk for non-dairy
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or coconut oil
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Add-ins:
  • 2 medium apples peeled and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional
  • Optional Topping:
  • Brown sugar or extra apple slices

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, butter, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  4. Assemble: Place sliced apples in the baking dish and pour oat mixture evenly over them.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown and set.
  6. Cool and serve warm with yogurt or honey drizzle.
