- Cook the Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 5–7 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Rice
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in rice and toast for 1 minute. Add chicken broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is tender.
- Make Honey BBQ Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce and honey.
- Combine
- Return chicken to the skillet. Pour honey BBQ sauce over rice and chicken. Stir gently and simmer uncovered for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
- Serve
- Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Use brown rice with additional liquid and cooking time.
Adjust honey for sweetness preference.
Add veggies like corn or bell peppers for variety.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
