Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken pieces thighs, drumsticks, or breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a simple marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces well and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat (375–400°F / 190–200°C).
  4. Place chicken on the grill and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce over the chicken during the last 5–10 minutes of cooking.
  6. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  7. Remove from grill, let rest for a few minutes, and serve.

  • Apply BBQ sauce toward the end to prevent burning.
  • Use bone-in chicken for extra flavor or boneless for quicker cooking.
  • You can bake instead of grill at 200°C (400°F) for 25–30 minutes.
