In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a simple marinade.
Coat the chicken pieces well and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight).
Preheat grill to medium heat (375–400°F / 190–200°C).
Place chicken on the grill and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally.
Brush BBQ sauce over the chicken during the last 5–10 minutes of cooking.
Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
Remove from grill, let rest for a few minutes, and serve.
