Ingredients
  

  • For the Burger Patties
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 80/20 recommended
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For Serving
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Pickles

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil grates.
  5. Grill burgers for 4–5 minutes per side or until cooked to desired doneness.
  6. Brush barbecue sauce onto burgers during the last few minutes of cooking.
  7. Top each burger with cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.
  8. Toast burger buns on the grill for 1–2 minutes.
  9. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and extra barbecue sauce if desired.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy.
