Method
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bottom Layer:
- Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing any seams.
- Add Fillings:
- Layer roast beef evenly over the dough. Place provolone cheese slices on top of the beef.
- Top Layer:
- Unroll the second crescent dough and place it over the cheese, gently stretching to cover.
- Butter Topping:
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and black pepper. Brush evenly over the top dough.
- Bake:
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare Au Jus:
- While baking, prepare au jus according to package directions.
- Serve:
- Let cool slightly, slice into squares, and serve warm with au jus for dipping.
Notes
Swiss cheese adds a more traditional french dip sandwich flavor.
