Ingredients
  

  • 1 package refrigerated croissant or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or cinnamon sugar optional
  • Milk of choice regular, oat, almond, coconut
  • Optional fillings: chocolate chips Nutella, peanut butter, fruit jam, pumpkin butter
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar maple syrup, fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Open the croissant or crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
  2. Cut each triangle into 4–6 small pieces, depending on how tiny you want your cereal.
  3. Roll each small triangle into a miniature croissant shape.
  4. Place the mini croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Beat the egg and lightly brush each mini croissant with egg wash to help them bake golden and shiny.
  6. Sprinkle the tops lightly with sugar or cinnamon sugar if you prefer a sweeter cereal.
  7. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven until the mini croissants are golden and crispy.
  8. Let them cool slightly, then enjoy with your favorite milk or toppings.
