Method
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- Place cheese between two slices of bread, buttered sides facing outward. Add extras if desired.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (185°C).
- Place the sandwich in the basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bread is crispy and cheese is fully melted.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.

- For sourdough grilled cheese, use sourdough bread for extra crunch and flavor.
- Mix different cheeses like cheddar and mozzarella for a gooey, stretchy texture.
- To make a fancy grilled cheese, add chicken, caramelized onions, or even a spread of pesto.
