Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz 225g full-fat brick-style cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 –4 cups powdered sugar to desired thickness
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Beat Cream Cheese & Butter
  2. Add softened cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl.
  3. Beat on medium speed for 2–3 minutes, until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add Powdered Sugar
  5. Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Continue until the frosting reaches your desired thickness and sweetness.
  7. Add Vanilla & Salt
  8. Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  9. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  10. Chill (Optional)
  11. If frosting is too soft for piping, refrigerate for 10–20 minutes to firm up.

Notes

Use brick-style cream cheese, not spreadable tub cream cheese.
For extra thick frosting, use slightly chilled cream cheese.
For a lighter, fluffier texture, whip an extra 1–2 minutes at the end.
Add flavors such as lemon zest, cinnamon, cocoa powder, or maple syrup to customize.
