- Beat Cream Cheese & Butter
- Add softened cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl.
- Beat on medium speed for 2–3 minutes, until smooth and fluffy.
- Add Powdered Sugar
- Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Continue until the frosting reaches your desired thickness and sweetness.
- Add Vanilla & Salt
- Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Chill (Optional)
- If frosting is too soft for piping, refrigerate for 10–20 minutes to firm up.
Notes
Use brick-style cream cheese, not spreadable tub cream cheese.
For extra thick frosting, use slightly chilled cream cheese.
For a lighter, fluffier texture, whip an extra 1–2 minutes at the end.
Add flavors such as lemon zest, cinnamon, cocoa powder, or maple syrup to customize.
