Method
- Prepare the Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Cook the Broccoli
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Beef
- Add remaining oil to the skillet. Add sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
- Add Aromatics
- Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine & Sauce
- Return broccoli to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir well. Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Serve
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
Flank steak, sirloin, or skirt steak work best.
Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
Ground beef can be used for ground beef and broccoli recipes.
Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
