Ingredients
  

  • For the Dough:
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • For the Filling:
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and flour. Mix into a dough, then knead until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll into a log and slice into 12 rolls. Arrange on a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Mix glaze ingredients, then drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Let the dough rise fully to achieve fluffy cinnamon rolls.
  • You can prepare the rolls ahead of time, refrigerate overnight, and bake in the morning.
