Baked Chicken Parmesan

A crispy and delicious Baked Chicken Parmesan made with tender chicken breasts, golden parmesan crust, rich marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella. This healthier version skips frying but keeps all the flavor, making it perfect for easy weeknight dinners and satisfying comfort meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare two bowls: one with beaten eggs, the other with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and seasonings.
  4. Dip chicken into eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Add marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Bake again for 5–10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

Use panko for extra crispiness
Don’t overcrowd the baking tray
Add fresh basil for garnish if desired
