  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar for poaching
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter optional, for toasting
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes or chili oil optional for spice
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Smoked salmon or prosciutto
  • Crumbled feta or goat cheese
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Fresh herbs parsley, dill, or cilantro
  • Balsamic glaze or lemon juice

Method

  1. Toast the Bread:
  2. Toast bread slices until golden and crispy. Brush lightly with olive oil or butter for extra flavor.
  3. Mash the Avocado:
  4. Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl, mash it with a fork, and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

  10. Garnish with your favorite toppings — sliced tomatoes, smoked salmon, feta, or herbs.
  11. Serve:
  12. Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Serve immediately and enjoy your avocado toast with poached egg!

Notes
