Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of bread white, sourdough, or whole-grain
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend
  • 1 tbsp butter softened
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: chopped chives red pepper flakes, avocado slices, or chicken

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Bread:
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Use a spoon to press down the center slightly to create a small well for the egg.
  3. Add the Egg and Cheese:
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges of the bread. Crack an egg into the center indentation of each slice. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Air Fry:
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket (buttered side down) in a single layer.
  7. Cook:
  8. Air fry for 6–8 minutes until the bread is crispy, cheese is melted, and the egg is cooked to your desired doneness.
  9. Serve:
  10. Carefully remove the toast and garnish with chives, avocado, or red pepper flakes. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use Thick Bread: Thicker slices hold the egg better and prevent overflow.

  • Control Egg Texture:
    • 6 minutes → runny yolk
    • 8–9 minutes → medium yolk
    • 10 minutes → firm yolk
