Making tacos at home is easy and can be a lot of fun. To make your own beef tacos, you’ll need the following ingredients:
Once you’ve gathered all the ingredients, it’s time to get cooking!
- Start by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it is no longer pink.
- Drain the excess fat from the pan, then stir in the taco seasoning. Let the beef simmer for five minutes or so.
- Take a taco shell and place it on a plate. Add a few spoonfuls of cooked ground beef to the shell.
- Top the taco with shredded cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and onion.
- Fold the top of the taco shell over the filling and serve warm.
Repeat this process until you have as many tacos as you’d like! For a little extra flavor, add your favorite salsa or hot sauce to each taco. Enjoy!
- Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
- Soft corn tortillas are easier to fold than hard shells.
- For extra crunch, lightly fry the taco shells before adding the filling.
- To make your tacos vegan, substitute the ground beef for crumbled tempeh or beans.
- Don’t forget to add your favorite taco toppings, like sour cream or guacamole!
