Stuffed Dorayaki Recipe

Stuffed Dorayaki Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 100g of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 50g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 20g of honey
  • 50ml of water, plus 1 tablespoon
  • Nutella for the filling

Preparation:

  • In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder together, then add the sugar. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the 2 eggs, add the honey, and mix well without overbeating.
  • Add the reserved flour mixture (from step 1) to the egg mixture. Gradually incorporate the 50ml of water while kneading the dough.
  • Once a homogeneous and slightly thin batter is achieved (similar to a crepe batter), let it rest for about 30 minutes. After the resting time, add the tablespoon of water to the dough and mix again.
  • Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Pour tablespoons of the batter onto the pan without flattening it, allowing little bubbles to form on the surface. This indicates that it’s cooking.
  • Using a spatula, carefully flip the dorayaki and cook for an additional 30 seconds until it turns golden brown.

  • Once cooled, generously fill each dorayaki with Nutella.
  • Serve and enjoy your delicious homemade stuffed dorayaki!

Note: You can get creative with the fillings and use alternatives to Nutella, such as fruit preserves or sweetened red bean paste.
