Old-fashioned apple pies are made with sweet apples with sugar and cinnamon wrapped in easy-to-peel pastries and baked in homemade cinnamon syrup. We love them served warm with a vanilla ice cream scoop!

There are so many delicious things you can do with apples other than just apple pie! Some of our favorite apple recipes are Apple Crisp, Crockpot Apple Butter, Baked Apples, Homemade Apple Fritters, and Homemade Caramel Apples!

Ingredients :

° 2 granny Smith Apples

° 1 cup water

° 1 cup split sugar

° 1 stick of butter

° 1/4 teaspoon. Vanilla extract

° 8 packaged biscuits (I use Pillsbury butter)

° 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions :

The oven is heated to 375 degrees. Peel, pulp and slice apples vertically into 8 slices per slice. Cover it with cold water to prevent it from turning brown while preparing the rest of the recipe.

In a medium saucepan, mix water with 3/4 cup of sugar, butter, and vanilla on a stove and bring the mixture to a boil.

Separate each biscuit in half. Wrap a layer of biscuit dough around a slice of apple, stretching it slightly, and covering the bottom.

Place the rolled slices, side down, on a 9 x 13 baking tray. Pour the hot sugar mixture over the apple slices.

Mix a quarter cup of the remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle it on top of the rolled apples. Baking about 36 min  . Serving something warm with vanilla & ice cream !

Enjoy !
