Delicious cinnamon rolls

Cinnamon rolls are a delightful treat that can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a sweet snack. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make delicious cinnamon rolls:

  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ¾ cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • ⅓ stick of butter
  • 2 tbsp of instant dry yeast
  • ¼ cup of melted butter
  • 3 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp of ground cinnamon

Preparation:

  • Begin by preparing the yeast mixture. In a container, combine warm milk and yeast, stirring until the yeast is dissolved. Add a tablespoon of sugar and let the mixture rest.
  • In a separate container, mix together the flour, salt, and sugar. Transfer the dry mixture onto a clean surface, forming a small mountain shape. Create a well in the center and add the egg and butter. Slowly incorporate all the ingredients using your hands.

  • Once the butter is well combined with the flour and egg, gradually pour in the milk and yeast mixture. The mixture should become thick and foamy. The key to a good dough is kneading it thoroughly. Initially, the dough may be sticky, so add more flour gradually until it no longer sticks to your hands. Once the dough reaches a non-sticky consistency, coat a tall container with a little oil and place the dough inside, making sure to cover it completely with oil. Allow the dough to rest in a cool place at room temperature, covering it with plastic wrap or a clean cloth. Let it rise for approximately 1 to 2 hours, until it doubles in size.
  • After the dough has risen, place it on a flat surface and use a rolling pin to roll it out to a thickness of 1 cm. Trim the edges to form a rectangle. Brush the melted butter over the surface of the dough and sprinkle it with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll the dough tightly, making sure it adheres well. Cut the roll into pieces approximately 1.5 cm thick. Arrange the rolls on a baking tray lined with waxed paper and let them rest for a little while longer.
  • Once the rolls have risen a bit more, preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the rolls on the middle rack for about 5 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Flip the rolls and bake for another 5 minutes. Keep in mind that baking times may vary depending on your oven and the quantity of rolls being prepared, so it’s recommended to monitor them closely during the second half of the baking time.
