INGREDIENTS

1 chicken breast
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 garlic clove
1 small piece of garlic stems
4 large potatoes
3 large carrots
1 can whole kernel corn (optional)
1/2 can of peas
1 egg
Mayonnaise
Worcestershire sauce
Lemon juice to taste
Salt and pepper to taste

METHOD

The first step we must carry out to learn how to make chicken salad is to wash well all the vegetables we are going to use, as well as the chicken breast, making sure it has no bones and removing all the skin. To give a more special touch to this salad, you can mix the mayonnaise with a couple of spoonfuls of the broth in which we will cook the chicken.

In this recipe we do not add onion, as it is a rather strong flavor that can end up suppressing the flavor of the rest of the ingredients, although if you want to add it, we recommend using a small amount. We will take a pot with water and we will add the chicken cube and the small piece of garlic, when it starts to boil we will put the chicken breast to cook it.
We will leave it cooking for about an hour or until we see that it no longer has pink parts but it is completely white. Then remove from the heat and let it cool. Meanwhile we will boil water in another pot with a little salt, this step is important to learn how to make chicken salad, so we will peel and cut into cubes both carrots and potatoes and put them in the boiling water.

We will know they are ready when we prick them with a fork and feel them soft but not to the point of falling apart. Remove from the heat and let them cool as well. In a bowl we are going to mix the mayonnaise to taste, a few drops of lemon juice, a splash of the broth in which we have made the chicken, a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste. We will take the chicken and we will lard it.

Then we will put together in the salad bowl the larded chicken, the well-drained peas and corn, the vegetables, the boiled and chopped egg and we mix and then add the mayonnaise we have just prepared. This is one of the easiest ways to learn how to make chicken salad, so we simply mix everything well and serve. If you wish you can keep it in the refrigerator a few minutes before serving it so that it is cold.
