This simple yet delightful dish will surely satisfy your cravings. With just a few steps, you can enjoy homemade broasted chicken that rivals your favorite restaurant’s version.

Ingredients of Broasted Chicken Recipe:

  • Cooking oil
  • 1 package of Licious Chicken Drumsticks
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Oregano
  • Chilli powder (to taste)
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions:

  1. Begin by marinating the chicken drumsticks in a flavorful mixture of black pepper, lemon juice, and salt. Allow them to soak up the flavors while you prepare the coating.
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried parsley, dried oregano, and a pinch of chili powder. Mix these dry ingredients thoroughly and set them aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, adding a quarter-cup of water and a dash of salt to create an egg wash.
  4. Take each marinated chicken drumstick and coat it generously with the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring it’s evenly covered. Then, dip it into the egg wash, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Once again, coat the chicken in the seasoned flour mixture, creating a double layer of coating. Place the coated drumsticks on a plate and let them sit for about 5 minutes to allow the coating to set.
  6. In a pressure cooker, add enough cooking oil for deep frying. Heat the oil to the desired temperature.
  7. Carefully place the coated chicken drumsticks into the hot oil. Fry each drumstick for approximately 30 to 45 seconds or until they turn golden brown.
  8. Cover the pressure cooker and wait for two whistles to ensure the chicken cooks through.
  9. After turning off the heat, allow the pressure cooker to sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to finish cooking the chicken inside.
  10. Release the pressure by carefully lifting the whistle with a spoon. Once the pressure is released, open the cooker.
  11. Heat the oil again and return the chicken to the hot oil. Fry until the outer layer becomes incredibly crispy and golden brown.
  12. Carefully drain the broasted chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  13. Serve the hot and crispy broasted chicken immediately, garnished with your favorite dipping sauces or side dishes.

Now, enjoy your homemade broasted chicken that’s not only irresistibly crunchy but also bursting with flavor!
